Time Management [ How to manage your time ]

In order to build essential Time Management skills, you need to learn the very basics first. You may already have goals set, however – you seem to get lost in disruptive behavior by others or sometimes you may over work yourself and balance is needed  as well. Try following these steps to ensure your time management skills are successful in your work or school:

Find a quiet place – This is the most important. Always find  a quiet place with no distractions whatsoever. If your home is always noisy or maybe you have the screaming kids around, lol – ask a family member or friend to watch them for you, just for one day so you can get your work done at the library. Make sure the place you pick is lighted well, bright, and cheery in a way.

Always write everything down – Mistakes are often made when you think you can rely on your mind for detailed information. It is best to keep all your resources in one notebook  and have a special page to look it up. To make it a bit easier – you can alphabetize your list.

Create a Goal List – Set a daily and monthly goal list, and be sure to mark the goals that are a priority first so you won’t forget. Use it to visualize all of your accomplishments.

Set a time limit – Setting time limits for each of your goals is a must. For example, if you have to write 2 essays and need to get it done before you go to work, you have about 2 hours of writing to finish this. Scan the clock every 10 minutes to see your progress.

Avoid distractions – Your lack of focus may be hurting your school or work. Turn your phone off and lock the door if you must. When you catch yourself steering away from what you were doing, always stop and think of your goals and look at the clock, then see what has been done and has not. This may speed you up to be focused and time driven.

Learn to say no – Many times, one of your friends or an unwanted visitor may come around and ask for you to join them in an activity. Always remember your main goal and stick to that. Just let your friend know, in a polite manner that you are working  and  suggest a better time for them later on.

Balance yourself – You need to keep yourself balanced, meaning you must have time for exercise, work and time for the family. You don’t wan’t to get caught up in piles of work and family certainly matters the most more than anything. Always  keep this in mind.

 Time Flies

Exercise and movement- This is a crucial part of your schedule because it is best to work in a state of happiness. Well, something called endorphins release when your running – which in return makes you happy. Ever try working when you were sad? Didn’t turn out very well did it?
